What is an EWS Affidavit?
An EWS (Economically Weaker Section) affidavit is a self-declaration by general category candidates certifying that their annual family income and asset holdings meet the criteria for EWS reservation. This entitles them to 10% reservation in educational institutions and government jobs as per the 103rd Constitutional Amendment Act, 2019.
